Bigg Boss Tamil - is a reality show on Vijay Television/Star Vijay. The first season of Bigg Boss Tamil were launched on 25th June 2017 with actor Kamal Hassan as the host.The show will be aired Monday to Sunday 9 PM on weekdays and 8.30 PM on weekends. The show will have 100 episodes. The contestants have to stay as housemate in the same house and their day to day life will be viewed by the audiences.

This is the Tamil-language version of the reality TV programme Bigg Boss broadcast in India. The original format of the show is first developed by Endemol in the Netherlands and it is followed in Hindi, Bengali and Kannada versions. Now it is turn of Tamil viewers to watch the show. The Endemol owned format of the show Big brother has been adopted by Indian channels. The hindi Version of the show   BIGG BOSS with Salman playing host has completed 10 successful seasons in Hindi. The regional language versions were also a great success in Kannada and Bengali.

The participants of the show are celebrities. There are 15 contestants .They are models Raiza Wilson & Aarar, Movie stars - Sri ,Anuya,Gayathri,Oviya,Aarthi,Ganesh,Sakthi,Namitha,Bharani , Author-Snehan,comedians -Vaiyapuri &Ganja Karuppu and non-celebrity participant Juliana

Format of BIGG BOSS -In Bigg Boss, the actions of the participants will be monitored in 100 episodes. The contestants stays in a well furnished house with modern facilities with two bed rooms, living area,kitchen , store room and bath rooms,  but no communication to the outside world - no TV connection, no telephones, no Internet connection, clocks, pen or paper. The show attempts to provide a look into the behavior of celebrities under surveillance. There will be weekly talks and inmates have to  nominate their colleagues for elimination. The elimination  will generally show case the emotional roller coaster ride for inmates and audiences. Last contestants who withstand  wins the show
