Super Star Junior-2 on Amrita TV | Music Reality show

Amrita TV's Super Star Junior-2 is a Malayalam Music Reality and talent search show telecasted during 2008-2009. This show was the Second Season of super star reality show organised by Amrita TV with the aim to find the a complete stage performer in Junior category . In addition to this the reality show aims to discover and nurture talent among kids through a process which involves extensive grooming and mentoring sessions by experts

The Super Star series started with Super Star telecast in 2006, which emerged as the most watched reality show in South Indian television. This was followed by Super Star Junior in 2007 which again was a runaway hit. It was followed by the second season of Super Star Seniors, named as Super Star Global . Super star Junior 2 is the second season of Super Star show for juniors and the fourth in the super star music reality show.

Super Star Junior-2 was for participants in the age group of 10-15 years. The audition for the show was held across various locations in India. The show was launched in August 2008 with 15 Contestants selected from more than 3000 applications. The music show span over eight months with competition in 31 rounds that resulted in 146 episodes. The show was telecasted every Monday to Thursday at 800 Pm.

The grand Finale of Super Star Junior-2

The grand finale of the show was held on 11 April 2009 in Trivandrum. The finalists of the show were Anwar(from Adoor), Parvathy(from Malappuram) and Shahafaz Ibi(from Mahe). Actor Suresh Gopi was the chief guest of the show. He presented the trophy to the grand finale winner. The live telecast show spanning over 3 hours was interspersed with entertaining performances by musicians like Benny Dayal and Malgudi Shuba, performances by budding starlet Shamna Kasim and pianist Stephen Devassy.
